Kunjal Kriya, also known as “Vaman Dhauti,” is a traditional yogic cleansing practice rooted in ancient Hatha Yoga. It is part of the Shatkarma, a collection of six purification techniques detailed in classical yogic texts like the Hatha Yoga Pradipika. This practice involves voluntarily inducing vomiting by drinking warm saline water, cleansing the stomach and esophagus in the process.
